I thought, “You’re going to be looking at my vagina in a few minutes, why the hell would I care if you see my stomach?” Maybe I should say something like that out loud to try and lighten the mood a bit.
I made a similar comment out loud to my gyno (seriously, what DO you do when a strange man is feeling your ovaries?) and I think it actually made him even more uncomfortable. I think male gynos get into the practice just because they're interested in delivering babies...I don't think any are exactly in it to look at vaginas all day.
