Oh flickr, how you torment me! (a boring post made out of boredom)
I entered the guinea pigs into a photo contest a few weeks ago. Yes, they have guinea pig photo contests. God bless the internet. Anyway, my boys did not win despite being the cutest guinea pigs in the world. I blame this on faulty photography. Since then, I have become obsessed with purchasing a digital camera. Maureen complains that our phone conversations are dominated by my whining that I don't know which one to buy. Best Buy employees eye me with suspicion because I come in to touch all the cameras on a near daily basis. My eyes grow weary reading camera reviews online. And still, the guinea pigs wait to have photo-contest-worthy photos taken of them.

It occurred to me tonight that I should really take the time to do something with some of the photos I already have. I decided to upload some random photos to flickr. Over thirty minutes have gone by. I want to go to bed. I keep thinking any minute now it will finish loading, and now that I've invested so much time it seems silly to give up.

I really am tired though.

If it helps any, we have a Sony Cyber-Shot and really like it. We used to have a Nikon CoolPix (we bought it several years ago when we still lived in Manhattan) and the shutter was way too slow and we almost always had blurry pics. Nikon may have fixed that problem now, though.

we have a fujifilm finepix f20. i'm really impressed with it, and it has an anti-blur setting, which makes me way happy. :)

I love it when you update your journal and now there are so many to choose from! Oh my little broekje, in eight days we will be together again. I'd buy one of every camera you are considering just to see you a little sooner. I'm going to go take my nap now and hope that I dream of you!

You have to help me decide if we should go ahead and keep the camera I bought. It is big and focuses kind-of slow. I don't know if the extra size is worth the extra quality, or if a different one would be better. You have to take it back if we decide to, though, because I think the man will be openly hostile to me, and you know how I hate that.

It sounds like you don't like it. I'll take it back for you. Working at Target at the service desk made me resillient to hostility a long time ago.
